Quick answers.
The stuff sellers and buyers ask us most. Don't see your question? Text (585) 245-2056.
How does consignment work here?
You drop the item off by appointment, we issue a written intake invoice, we list and sell it (auction or marketplace), then pay you after the buyer's funds clear — minus our commission.
What's your commission?
Tiered against the final sale price: 20% on items $1–$999, 15% on $1,000–$9,999, and 10% on $10,000 and up. No upfront seller fees.
When do I get paid?
Seller payout is issued after the buyer's payment has fully cleared our account. Every payout comes with a written consignor statement listing the item, sale price, deductions, and net amount.
Can I withdraw an item I've consigned?
Items sold via auction may not be withdrawn. Items listed on other platforms (e.g. marketplace) may be withdrawn with 48 hours notice after settling any agreed direct costs. Items already under a buyer hold or deposit can't be withdrawn until that hold is released.
What if my item doesn't sell?
We work with you on price adjustments. If you don't retrieve an unsold item within 60 days of written notice, it's considered abandoned and we may sell, donate, or scrap it to recover lot space.
Do you pick up?
No. All items must be brought to our Caledonia, NY property by the seller. Drop-off is by appointment only.
Do you wipe computers and drives?
Yes — every drive is securely wiped before resale, and you're welcome to verify at drop-off.
How long will you hold an auction item for me?
Up to 1 week after the auction concludes. Every day after that, the buyer is responsible for a $20 per day lot fee until the item is picked up.
How do marketplace holds work?
We'll mark an item pending in good faith for 24 hours after an initially agreed-upon date and time. After that window, the item is no longer pending and is up for grabs by other buyers.
How do I pay?
Cash, debit/credit card, and verified bank transfer. NYS sales tax is collected on taxable items (currently 8% in Livingston County). Out-of-state dealers with a valid NYS ST-120 resale certificate may purchase exempt.
Can I inspect or test-run before paying?
Yes — encouraged. Inspect, start, and test-run any item before you pay. Bring tools if you want to crack covers; tell us first.
Are items warrantied?
No. Everything sells as-is, where-is. We disclose known issues in good faith but do not warranty consigned items.
Who's responsible for loading?
The buyer. We'll help position with our forklift where it makes sense, but trailers, straps, and securement are on you. We don't deliver.
Where are you located?
Caledonia, NY — serving Livingston County, Geneseo, Avon, Le Roy, Batavia, Rochester, and the rest of Western NY.
What's the fastest way to get an estimate?
Text 3 photos to (585) 245-2056. Photos beat a long phone description every time.
Do I need proof of ownership?
For titled or registered items — and any item where ownership is reasonably in question — yes. We'll refuse intake without it.
